Basic DSLR Photography course offered at Srini Institute of Photography in India is a step-by-step guide to beginners. Participants are trained on both the technicalities and the aesthetics. Adequate training is provided on using camera controls more creatively. Beginners will appreciate the hands-on, lucid approach that makes photography fun, easy and extremely engaging. Participants get to create beautiful images, manipulate them and even work on livewire projects.
The course content has been specially designed for passionate beginners and serious amateurs who want to improve their image-making skills with strong fundamental knowledge.
On completing Basic DSLR Photography course, participants can handle the DSLR cameras with great confidence. They can create visually-stunning images out of mundane subjects. This course is very useful for serious hobbyists who would like to specialise in various fields such as Travel, Wildlife, Candid, Outdoor portraits etc
Anyone above 18 years with an interest in photography may join this course. Basic DSLR course is ideal for students homemakers and employed people who want to learn photography in a serious way. Students who have the intension of joining B.Sc visual communication can also join this course.

Participants must bring their own DSLR cameras with kit lens as minimum. Camera must have manual mode setting. A Lap-top with image editing software like Adobe Photoshop is essential for post-production work in the class.

Learning about Camera menus and its functions, Understanding Various file formats like Raw, Tiff, Jpeg etc., Mega pixel and resolution, Full frame sensors and cropped frame sensors – Crop Factor
Understanding Shutter speed , Aperture, ISO relationships for creative images, Controlling motion and depth of field while making images, Exposure meters and choosing the best mode suitable for a situation, Exposure compensation, Exposure bracketing and Exposure balancing,, Histogram and its uses, Color balance
